Apsley (North Kawartha)

Work in the heart of cottage country and wake up to the sound of the loons. This is an opportunity to work and live in a beautiful environment while providing essential primary care to the residents of North Kawartha.

We are currently seeking a permanent full time or shared primary care physician(s) to join the Greater Peterborough FHO/ Peterborough Family Health Team. This community has the ability to grow your roster to  over 1500 patients and has the benefit of a full time  FHT Nurse Practioner as well as Family Health Team allied health support to provide collaborative care to the residents of this community.

A beautiful municipal facility is available to lease and purchase of medical equipment can be arranged if required.

This position is eligible for $90,680 payable over four years from the Northern &Rural Recruitment and Retention fund.

Details for the position are as follows:

Practice size up to 1500 patients which would be comprised of a variety of ages and health conditions heavily weighted with seniors with complex health conditions
Full time practice
Full time FHT Nurse Practitioner
Shared Reception
Patient charts all contained within shared Telus Practice Solutions EMR
Patients will have the support of in house mental health, registered dietitian

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
CCFP Certification or equivalent practical experience is an asset.
General license to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Membership in the Ontario Medical Association.
Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
