Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation
Primary Health Care Services of Peterborough has partnered with the Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation, which will enable the two organizations to work together to develop and financially support opportunities that further the delivery of community-based care for the residents of Peterborough city and county.
The Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation, formerly known as the St. Joseph’s Care Foundation, and Primary Health Care Services of Peterborough, have been working together over the last year to finalize an agreement and formalize the process of funding community-based health initiatives that build upon the foundation of primary care.
This is a very exciting partnership, as the Foundation has a number of fundraising initiatives each year, including being one of the longtime benefactors of the Peterborough Festival of Trees. Funds will provide direct support of community-based capital projects, capital equipment, research and education programs that promote and facilitate enhanced health care for our residents.
Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation and Primary Health Care Services of Peterborough will work together to identify areas of need in the provision of community-based health care services and provide financial support as appropriate. The opportunity to better support a multi-disciplinary approach to the provision of community health services will greatly improve our ability to provide patient-focused care.
