Mental Health Clinicians – Permanent, 0.9 FTE (33.75 hours per week)

Family Health Teams (FHTs) use a patient-centred approach to primary health care that brings together doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, registered dietitian, pharmacists, mental health clinicians and other health-care professionals and support staff to co-ordinate the highest possible quality of care for patients – when they need it, as close to home as possible. FHTs are a key component of Ontario’s health-care plan to reduce wait times, improve access to primary care, and keep Ontarians healthy.
Mental Health Clinician
We have 1 position available:
- 0.9 FTE Permanent Position
Drawing on your 3+ years of clinical experience and as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization, short term therapy, health education and advocacy on behalf of patients. The ideal candidate also has training and experience in facilitating groups and group based process. You hold at least a BSW (MSW preferred), M Ed or M.A. (in counselling) and registration with the appropriate regulatory college. Clinical experience in the community would be an asset. Additional training and/or experience in any of the following areas: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma informed practice and Addictions is considered an asset.
