PFHT Announces New Medical Advisor
February 11th, 2021
The Peterborough Family Health Team (PFHT) is pleased to announce that Dr. Kim Curtin has been appointed Medical Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Dr. Curtin has lived and been practicing medicine in Peterborough since 2003, beginning at Peterborough Regional Health Centre and since 2008 managing both a part-time family practice at The Medical Centre in Peterborough and as the Site Director of the Queen’s Family Medicine Peterborough-Kawartha residency site. Since its opening in July 2010, the Peterborough-Kawartha site has graduated over 50 family physicians, many of whom have stayed in our community as valued physician colleagues. This success cannot be overstated.
Dr. Curtin has degrees from Queen’s University (BSc Physiotherapy), McMaster undergraduate medicine (MD) and the University of Calgary Family Medicine (CCFP).
Dr. Curtin will maintain her family medicine practice and her role as Site Director of the Queen’s Family Medicine residency site.
As Medical Advisor, Dr. Curtin will be available to the CEO approximately one half day per week, as needed. Dr. Curtin will consult on Primary Health Care priorities in Peterborough from the family physician perspective and will share her knowledge and experience to ensure PFHT strategic and operational plans achieve and
maintain the highest quality in organizational performance and system integration.
I look forward to working with Dr. Curtin.
Duff Sprague
