Family Health Organizations
All Family Health Organizations share the same goal: to give you, the patient, better access to healthcare and more holistic services.
There are five Family Health Organizations in Peterborough working together with one Family Health Team. These groups include:
- Chemong Family Health Organization
- Greater Peterborough Family Health Organization
- Peterborough Community Family Health Organization
- The Peterborough Clinic Family Health Organization
- The Medical Centre Family Health Organization
With majority of Peterborough family doctors working within one of these Family Health Organizations, we are one of the largest Family Health Teams in the province.
The family doctors have access to the exceptional interprofessional healthcare providers, which include:
- Mental Health Clinicians
- Nurse Practitioners
- Pharmacists
- Registered Dietitians
- Registered Nurses/Registered Practical Nurses
Chemong Family Health Organization
The family doctors and allied health professionals working with Chemong Family Health Organization are located at the Chemong Medical Centre in Bridgenorth and the Morton Community Healthcare Centre in Lakefield.
Hours of Operation:
- Regular hours from Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Weekday Extended Hours Service Monday to Thursday: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
After 8:00 PM and on Sundays and holidays you can call the Telephone Health Advisory Service (THAS) at 1-866-553-7205 to speak to a registered nurse

Greater Peterborough Family Health Organization
The family doctors’ clinics are located throughout the Peterborough County.
Hours of Operation:
- Regular hours from Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Weekday Extended Hours Service: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday Extended Hours Service: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Peterborough Community Family Health Organization
The family doctors and allied health professionals working with the Peterborough Community Family Health Organization are in the heart of downtown Peterborough. These clinics are located in the Turnbull building, Time Square, and the Be Well Centre.
Hours of Operations:
- Regular hours from Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Weekday Extended Hours Service: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday Extended Hours Service: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Sunday Extended Hours Service: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Statutory Holidays: Closed

The Medical Centre team is available during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Day Clinic (Monday – Friday): 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Monday – Thursday Extended Hours Service: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday Extended Hours Service: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Sunday Extended Hours Service: 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
